Just a quick note to let you know that I’m taking a break from writing to recharge and do some manuscript assessment over the next few months. If you know of anyone looking to have their manuscript professionally assessed, prior to submitting it to publishers, please feel free to direct them to my manuscript assessment webpage: https://ifyoumustwrite.com/manuscript-development/
Thanks!
Louise
Yaaaaaaaaaay!
Hi Louise
Riverina Bluebells has been edited by Sarina Sandrin-Tatti and I’ve rewritten as per her suggestions. It was a full edit (structural and line edit), however, I found more errors, silly stuff. Just goes to show how easy it is to miss things. I have a new empathy for published books in which I still find an error or two! As you once told me, there’s no way you can edit your own work without missing things. Anyway, if you’d like to consider doing a manuscript assessment (obviously, a full one, as you didn’t do the first check).
I am working on another book at the moment. It’s called The Missing Village of Shipden and bounces between the 14th century, 19th century, 1953 and the present. These specific dates are lined up with environmental disasters which caused flooding and loss of life in England. There’s more scope for horrible things to happen, I guess, than in Riverina Bluebells, which is really just a pleasant story.
If you’d like to take this on, please let me know and I’ll send you the file. Cheers, Jill
I’m really happy for you to email me about that, Jill, at mail@louisecusack.com Let me know the wordcount, genre and I can get back to you with pricing etc.
