I’ve read hundreds over the years, but I keep coming back to these ones + Stephen King’s On Writing which must be on loan. I can’t find it in my bookcase.
Hi Louise – That’s an impressive stack of books! I’ve just finished a book called The Writing Class by Stephanie Johnson, which was both entertaining, beautifully written and insightful. The writer has been a creative writing lecturer for many years and sets her story around Merle, a creative writing teacher with a class of beginning writing students. In particular, I liked her characterisation as she brought their ambitions, romances, hopes and dreams to life while, at the same time, taught me a bit more about the craft of writing.

Sounds, awesome. Thanks Jill. I’ll look that one up!
